3 major schemes (all of them Insurance plans) are generating a lot of interest in my friends minds. There are 2 sets of friends :
1. The guys planning to invest
2. The guys / brokers making money out of the investment.

First for some basic questions :
IRDA (Insurance Regulator) rules do not allow cos to gaurantee returns in any Mutual Fund related scheme.
While these are Insurance cos investing in Mutual funds, No Mutual Fund is independently offering such a scheme....

So where is the catch ??? Is there a catch ??

My friends in Mumbai are safe, my heart goes out to the many who have lost family.

Here are a few observations:

Quote. Ratan Tata "It is clear that we do not have a crisis handling mechanism - this after 3 blasts from 1993".

NDTV "Marine commandos, based in Mumbai were called into action after about 20 hrs of the first incident".

All the live cameras of all the Gloating TV Channells dont tell me the basics:

1. What is the likely objective.

2. What is the plan of action being executed.

3. Who is in charge for the security operations - is there anybody at all.

Pl, we need to get very professional at handling real challenges. Unfortunately this is more demanding than wearing "India Shining" T shirts.
